About Us
Fisher Hydraulics is in a small community in northwest Iowa in a 102,000-square-foot complex. With a dedicated staff leading them, our greatest asset is our people. For our customers, we will manufacture a single cylinder or a truckload of cylinders to your exact specifications.
In 1967 J & L Manufacturing was founded in Laurens, Iowa as a sub-contract machine shop. In 1988 the company's name was changed to Fisher Hydraulics, Inc. Since its inception, the company has focused on the production of hydraulic cylinders and components, becoming a leading manufacturer of such products for industries including log splitters, industrial and construction machinery, and farm and truck equipment manufacturing. In 2000 Ligon Industries, LLC of Birmingham, AL acquired Fisher Hydraulics.
